Robert Barr, Deputy City Manager

Robert Barr was appointed Deputy City Manager in July 2021.  Prior to his appointment, he worked as Library Director for the City & Borough of Juneau.  Robert holds a MA in Library Science from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and a BA in Psychology and Classics from William Jewell College.

Before joining the CBJ, Robert worked in the library and information sciences field in a variety of roles from shelving books to supervising reference and information technology professionals.  He enjoys reading broadly and applying lessons learned to public service.
