CERTIFIED MUNICIPAL CANDIDATES

Last Updated: August 40, 2026, 4:30pm to add official candidate statements.

To appear on the October 6, 2026 Municipal Election ballot, candidates must have completed and submitted the required filing forms during the candidate filing period. The filing period for the City and Borough of Juneau Assembly and Board of Education (School Board) opened at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, and closed at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026.

Candidates are listed in the order they will appear on the ballot.

Voters will elect:

  • One Assembly Areawide member (3-year term)
  • One Assembly District 1 member (3-year term)
  • One Assembly District 2 member (3-year term)
  • Two Board of Education members (3-year terms)

Important: Assembly districts apply only to candidate residency requirements and are different from State elections. All Assembly and Board of Education seats are elected at-large, and all qualified voters may vote in every Assembly and Board of Education race on the ballot.
