The JCOA partnered with the AARP Juneau Community Action Team to create the Age Friendly Community Action Plan for Juneau (link above). The CBJ Assembly approved joining the AARP Age Friendly Network in 2023 and our initial task was to develop the Community Action Plan based on assessment and prioritization of the age friendly domains for seniors. We thank all the contributors and Commissioners, as well as Mayor Beth Weldon for her support to join the Network. We look forward to seeing this plan as a foundation to proactively represent Juneau Senior’s needs and inform the CBJ Comprehensive Plan currently under development.
