Celebrate Spring with Treadwell Arena on April 5

Come celebrate the spring with City and Borough of Juneau’s Parks & Recreation department by joining Treadwell Arena’s upcoming April 5 events, Skate With the Bunny and Lucky Egg Hunt.

Lucky Egg Hunt

Starting at 12:30 p.m., kids 10 years old and younger will engage in an outdoor egg hunt encouraging physical activity, social interaction, and positive shared experiences among local families. Kids will be separated into five age groups to search for the golden egg. The finder will win a golden egg basket with lots of fun toys, trinkets, and nut-free candies inside. Egg hunts are quick, so make sure to arrive before the start time to participate!

No registration is required for this event; show up, dress warm, and have fun.

Skate With the Bunny

From 1 to 2:30 p.m., Juneau residents of all ages are invited to a special open skate in the ice rink. Hang out with the bunny, make bunny-themed crafts, and enjoy a sensory room for the $7 regular admission price. Admission includes skate rentals on a first come first served basis. Only 200 residents can be on the ice at a given time; register at the Parks and Recreation catalog under the tab “Treadwell Arena, Themed Skates,” or at the door when you arrive.
