Inspired by Taylor Swift’s show-stopping performances, “The Life of a Skater” turns Treadwell Arena into a dazzling spectacle on Sunday, December 14.

Skate to her biggest hits under disco ball lighting from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Off the ice, get crafty at the Friendship Bracelet Making Station, trading custom-made creations with fellow fans. The evening culminates in the spectacular Taylor Swift Look-Alike Contest—dress as your favorite era for a chance to win a prize! Skaters can register online in advance to secure a spot; regular admission rates apply. Registration opens on Thursday, December 4 at noon and is limited to 150. Walk-in registration at the door is available up to the maximum capacity of 200. Skate rental is included; first come, first served.

Ready for some holiday fun? Treadwell Arena is hosting two annual favorites, Turkey Bowling and Santa Skate, over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend—for free!  

From 8 to 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, visit the rink for a Free Skate and knock down some bowling pins. The twist? You’ll be using a frozen turkey as your ball! Win a turkey by hitting the most pins and enjoy a holiday skate. This event is generously sponsored by Juneau-Gastineau Rotary. 

Then return to the rink from 7 to 8:15 p.m. on Friday, November 28 to skate with Santa and his elves! This event is generously sponsored by Douglas Fourth of July Committee. 

Events include both admission and skate rentals free of charge—just be aware that rental skates are limited and first come, first served.

Join Juneau Parks & Recreation on the ice Friday, October 24, from 7:00–8:30 p.m. for the annual FREE Halloween Skate at Treadwell Arena. Come in costume for a chance to win prizes, with judging beginning at 7:30 p.m. Skate rentals are included, available on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is generously sponsored by Juneau Pediatric Dentistry.

This year, there will also be two additional rooms: one for crafting activities and another quiet, sensory-friendly space.

Throw on your best costume, glide under the arena lights, and kick off the Halloween festivities with a frightfully fun night on the ice.
