Parks & Recreation Announce Extended Pickleball and Treadwell Arena Cement Season

The City and Borough of Juneau Parks & Recreation is excited to share upcoming indoor programming for the summer season.  

Open pickleball at the Floyd Dryden Gym has been extended by five more sessions. The gym will be open Wednesdays and Saturdays during normal pickleball hours from Saturday, May 2 to Saturday, May 16. Admission is $5 per person and equipment is provided. Not long after, Treadwell Arena will open indoor activities for its Cement season. From Tuesday, May 19 through Thursday, July 2, the arena will host the following programs:  

  • Noon Roller Skating: Every Tuesday through Saturday, from 12 to 1 p.m. 
  • Open Pickleball: Every Tuesday through Saturday, from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m.  
  • Evening Roller Skating: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m.  
  • Disco Roller Skating: Fridays and Saturdays, from 6 to 7 p.m.  

All drop-ins cost $5 per person. Pickleball equipment is provided, but participants must bring their own roller skates. Find more information about Treadwell Arena’s Cement season programming at juneau.org/parks-recreation/treadwell-arena
