Planning Commission meets August 25. Here’s how to weigh in.

The Planning Commission will have a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 25, at 7 p.m. This meeting will be virtual and telephonic only. The Planning Commission will review an application for a final plat approval for a phased major subdivision. This item is up for public hearing. The Planning Commission will also be continuing the public meeting for a transitional housing project and associated parking waiver on Allen Court. These items are closed to public testimony at this time, and the Commission may vote to reopen public testimony.

A Conditional Use Permit for Transitional Housing (USE2020 0018) – Continued from August 11, 2020, closed to public testimony (Commission may vote to reopen)

Applicant requests a Conditional Use Permit for transitional housing at the southeast corner of Jenkins Drive and Allen Court in the Lemon Creek area. This project includes five modular units for 13 individual rooms, as well as an on-site live-in resident manager.

A Parking Waiver to reduce the number of required spaces from 13 to 4 (PWP2020 0003) – Continued from August 11, 2020, closed to public testimony (Commission may vote to reopen):

Applicant requests a parking waiver for Allen Court transitional housing project, from 13 required off-street spaces to four (4). Vehicle activity is anticipated to be from employees or service providers, and from an on-site live-in manager; residents of this transitional housing are not allowed to have vehicles.

Final plat approval for a phased major subdivision (SMF2020 0002)

Applicant requests a final plat approval for a phased major subdivision that will create 14 lots and 1 large tract for further subdivision (15 lots total). In 2017, a portion of the subject parcel was conditionally approved for a rezone from the Rural Reserve to the Industrial zoning district. The preliminary plat was approved February 2020 through SMP2019 0003. This approval is for the Honsinger Pond Subdivision, Phase I.

Immediately following the regularly scheduled Planning Commission Meeting, the Commission will meet in a Committee of the Whole Meeting. The meeting will consist of information on Planning Commissioner board protocols/processes.

No on-site smoking of marijuana is proposed, nor are changes to the footprint of the building. This permit does not modify conditions of the original permit, nor does it void or restart the five-year review requirement.
