Registration for Parks & Recreation Start Smart Sports opens October 6

Registration for Parks & Recreation’s Start Smart Sports (ages 3-4) opens Friday, October 6, at noon. There are 25 spots available. The program costs $40 plus tax, which includes a Start Smart tee shirt. Register online under “Youth & Teen.” Registration is first come, first served. All registrations received after the session is full will be placed on a waitlist.

The Start Smart program is for 3-4 year olds (participants must be 3 by the first session). Start Smart Sport sessions are held 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. every Saturday, October 14 – November 19 at Floyd Dryden Middle School. Children work with an adult in their lives in a supportive environment to learn the basic skills of sports: kicking, dribbling, throwing, batting and agility. Adults are active participants in the program.
