Work taking place at Overstreet Park Thursday & Friday

City and Borough of Juneau contractors Admiralty Construction and Behrends Mechanical will be testing and commissioning the pumps and sprayers for the whale fountain at Overstreet Park on Thursday and Friday, May 21-22. During this process, the fountain will be turned on briefly. After testing, the fountain will be turned off and the pool will be drained until further notice to temporarily reduce costs. Repair work is also being completed in the pump room.
Parks and Recreation plans to open the restrooms at Overstreet Park on Monday, May 25 pending test results from pipe flushing.
