Whittier Lot open for hourly public parking

The Whittier Parking Lot, located near the intersection of Whittier Street and 3rd Avenue next to the Zach Gordon Youth Center, is now open to the public for hourly paid parking.

At this time, payment is only available through the ParkSmarter app. Customers can use the app to pay for parking with a credit or debit card, add time to a parking session, and obtain receipts. The free app is available for download on both iOS and Android devices.

Later this spring, when weather conditions allow, a pay station will be installed in the lot to allow payment by card or coins.

Off-street paid parking, including in the Whittier Lot, is enforced Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking at all other times is free. Parking costs $0.75 per hour, for a minimum of two hours.

Please note that spots next to the Zach Gordon Youth Center building, marked by signs, are reserved for ZGYC use.
