What improvements does Centennial Hall need? Tell CBJ on May 7
The City and Borough of Juneau Engineering Department and MRV Architects are holding a public meeting to discuss development of a long range plan for improvements to Centennial Hall on Tuesday, May 7 at 5 p.m. in Centennial Hall, Egan Room. CBJ and MRV will present preliminary concepts intended to enhance the facility’s performance and marketability for the next 20-25 years, as well as collect input on what improvements the public wants to see.
Centennial Hall, constructed in 1984, has numerous building systems that are in need of replacement. In 2017, voters approved a 1 percent sales tax, which included $4.5 million to address Centennial Hall’s most critical needs. However, much more work would still need to be done to improve the facility’s performance and marketability. This public meeting is the first step in gathering community input.
Come to the public meeting on Tuesday, May 7 at 5 p.m. in Centennial Hall to weigh in on the facility’s future.
