Want to make a difference? Deadline to file to run for Assembly & School Board is Monday.
Juneau voters will elect three Juneau Assembly members and two School Board members at the City and Borough of Juneau’s October 6 Regular Municipal Election. The Assembly and School Board make important decisions that impact the community and the daily lives of Juneau residents. If you want to run for one of these seats, the Candidate Filing Period closes this coming Monday, July 27 at 4:30 p.m. So far, individuals have filed to run for the Assembly Areawide seat, Assembly District 1 seat, and School Board. In order to file for office, candidates must submit:
- A Declaration of Candidacy Form with their Nomination Petition signed by at least 25 registered voters (more signatures are recommended in case one or more signature is disqualified), AND
- A printed signed copy of their Alaska Public Offices Commission Public Official Financial Disclosure (APOC POFD) form.

Again, the deadline to file to run for local office is this Monday, July 27 at 4:30 p.m.
