Thanksgiving weekend schedule for CBJ offices & facilities

Most City and Borough of Juneau offices and facilities—including City Hall offices, the Juneau-Douglas City Museum, Zach Gordon Youth Center, Dimond Park Field House, and all Juneau Public Library branches—will be closed Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24, in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday.

Here’s a rundown of other services and facilities that have different operating schedules during the holidays:

Capital Transit

Capital Transit will not be in service on Thursday, November 23. Full service will resume on Friday, November 24. For more information, visit juneaucapitaltransit.org or contact Capital Transit at (907) 789-6901.

Jensen-Olson Arboretum

The Arboretum will be closed on Thursday, November 23, and open on Friday, November 24. For more information visit the JOA website.

Juneau Pools

Dimond Park Aquatic Center will be ­open on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, from 7 – 10 a.m. and on Friday, November 24 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. See the calendar for more information.

RecycleWorks/HHW

RecycleWorks will be closed on Thursday, November 23 and reopen to the public on Friday, November 24.

The Household Hazardous Waste facility will be closed from Thursday, November 23 through Saturday, November 25, in addition to its regular Sunday closure. It will reopen to the public on Monday, November 27. For more information, visit juneaurecycling.com.

Shéiyi X̱aat Hít Youth Shelter

Shéiyi X̱aat Hít (Spruce Root House) Youth Shelter is open throughout the holidays.

Treadwell Arena
