South Seward Street/Heritage Way name change takes effect November 1

On November 1, 2023, the southernmost two blocks of South Seward Street (between Front Street and Marine Way) will be renamed Heritage Way, in accordance with the June 13 Planning Commission decision. The remainder of Seward Street—from the stop sign between Heritage Coffee Roasting Co. and Juneau Drug up the hill towards the Capitol—will not be affected by the change.

After this date, City Hall’s mailing address will be 155 Heritage Way, Juneau, AK 99801. Please update contacts and address books accordingly.

Postal mail addressed to 155 S. Seward Street will continue to be delivered to City Hall for one year following the address change, through November 1, 2024.
