Social distance options when applying for Senior Citizen/Disabled Veteran Exemptions

The City and Borough of Juneau Assessor’s Office wants to highlight methods of applying for Senior Citizen/Disabled Veteran exemptions that promote social distancing and avoid person-to-person interaction.

Forms to apply for the Senior Citizen/Disabled Veteran Real Property Exemption and the Senior Citizen/Disabled Veteran Hardship Exemption can be accessed online at https://juneau.org/finance/assessor-forms. You can also access them by going to juneau.org -“Departments” dropdown menu – “Finance” – Under “Residents” – “Assessor Forms”

 

Senior Citizen/Disabled Veteran Real Property Exemption:

Deadline: March 31

  • Mail to City and Borough Of Juneau Assessor’s Office, 155 S. Seward Street, Juneau AK 99801
  • Fax to 586-4520
  • Scan and email to [email protected]
  • Drop at one of the dropbox locations: Super Bear IGA, Foodland IGA, outside the main entrance of City Hall
  • If applying for disabled veteran exemption, please be sure to include supporting document(s) stating level of disability

 

Senior Citizen/Disabled Veteran Hardship Exemption:

Deadline: April 30

  • Mail to City and Borough Of Juneau Assessor’s Office, 155 S. Seward Street, Juneau AK 99801
  • Fax to 586-4520
  • Scan and email to [email protected]
  • Drop at one of the dropbox locations: Super Bear IGA, Foodland IGA, outside the main entrance of City Hall
  • If applying for this exemption, please be sure to include supporting tax document(s) as requested on the form
