Public Service Recognition Week: Mila Cosgrove

May 7, 2021 – FYI

“Mila Cosgrove is the glue that holds CBJ operations together. She keeps more balls in the air than most of us ever realize and she makes it look easy. Even more impressive than her capacity, she approaches a diverse set of challenges on a daily basis with a level of equanimity and competence that inspires me and those who work with her.” – Library Director Robert Barr

Mila Cosgrove is CBJ’s Deputy City Manager. Since March 2020, she’s also led the Emergency Operations Center as Incident Commander. Prior to becoming Deputy City Manager in 2016, Mila was CBJ’s Human Resources and Risk Management Director for 10 years. She’s retiring at the end of July.

In honor of Public Service Recognition Week, the City and Borough of Juneau will be highlighting CBJ employees.
