The Planning Commission Committee of the Whole followed immediately after by the Regular Planning Commission meets March 14, 2023, at 5:30 P.M. then 7 P.M. in the Assembly Chambers. These meetings will be a hybrid meeting held both in person and via Zoom, using the same Webinar link and will be to discuss The Avalanche & Landslide Hazard Maps draft ordinance, a Parking Waiver Permit to waive one (1) required parking space for the Conditional Use Permit for an accessory apartment on an undersized lot, Streams & Other Waterbodies Ordinance (Anadromous Waterbodies Buffer), as well as discussion for Repeal of the Wetland Review Board,

Avalanche & Landslide Hazard Maps draft ordinance (AME2021 0008)
Regular Planning Commission at 7:00 P.M.
Streams & Other Waterbodies Ordinance (Anadromous Waterbodies Buffer) (AME2017 0001)
The proposed ordinance would amend CBJ 49.70.310, Habitat, to revise the stream buffer ordinance. The revision would clarify uses allowed and prohibited within stream buffers, and streamline development for low impact uses.
Repeal Wetland Review Board (AME2023 0001)
The proposed ordinance would repeal CBJ 49.10.700, Wetlands Review Board. The Board’s wetland permitting authority has expired, the Board has not met since 2018, and the Board is no longer needed.
Conditional Use Permit for an accessory apartment on an undersized lot (USE2023 0001)
The applicant requests a Conditional Use Permit for an accessory apartment on a substandard lot in a mapped moderate landslide/avalanche zone in the D5 zoning district. The applicant proposes an accessory apartment in the basement of the existing single-family dwelling. The proposal will not expand the footprint or height of the existing structure.
Parking Waiver Permit to waive one (1) required parking space for an accessory apartment (PWP2023 0001)
In conjunction with the Conditional Use Permit USE23-01, the applicant has applied for a Parking Waiver to waive the one (1) required parking space for the accessory apartment
