“There’s a large part of our population that just does not have transportation. They don’t have cars. And we’re getting people who need public transportation to the grocery store, to their doctor’s appointment, to work…. We want to get everybody to where they need to go. Trust me – that’s our mission, but we also want to get them there as safe as we can.”

Hal Kulm is the lead operator and acting supervisor for Capital Transit. Recently, Capital Transit has instituted several changes in response to COVID-19, including free fare, limiting bus capacity to 9 people, having riders board and exit using the rear door, and completely disinfecting the buses every hour and a half.
