Paving on Douglas Highway scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 19-20

City and Borough of Juneau contractor Admiralty Construction plans on paving parts of Douglas Highway Monday and Tuesday, August 19 and 20, weather permitting. The public should expect longer than normal delays.

Construction work will take place 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with paving operations taking place approximately 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admiralty Construction will have two lanes open on Monday and Tuesday. During paving operations, traffic in both lanes will periodically be completely stopped for about 20 minutes each time. Please plan for longer than normal delays.

For the rest of the week, Admiralty will return to its standard operation of working 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with only one lane of traffic open, except between peak traffic hours of 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. when two lanes are open.
