Parking for Project Playground Grand Opening Saturday, Sept. 29

Project Playground at Twin Lakes officially opens Saturday, September 29 at noon. The City and Borough of Juneau Parks & Recreation Department and the Project Playground Steering Committee are celebrating with a community event from noon to 5 p.m. With the expectation of increased traffic in and around the area, please use caution and park in the following areas:

  • Twin Lakes parking lot
  • Juneau Public Health Center
  • Designated parking areas along Glacier Highway

Overflow parking can be found at:

  • Juneau Bone & Joint Center on Hospital Drive
  • Parking lot around Southeast Alaska Independent Living (SAIL), Juneau Tlingit & Haida Community Center, and the Vocational Training & Resource Center (first left off Hospital Drive)
  • Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities on Channel Drive
  • Wayside Shelter parking lot on Channel Drive

When using overflow parking, please be cautious crossing any streets and be aware of traffic flow.
