No new COVID-19 cases reported in Juneau March 6-8

No new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Juneau this past weekend or today, March 6 – March 8. Cumulatively, Juneau has had 1,164 residents test positive for COVID-19 and 143 nonresidents. There are 17 active cases in Juneau and 1,285 individuals have recovered. All individuals with active cases of COVID-19 are in isolation. The cluster associated with the small Juneau business is at 11 individuals with eight recovered.

Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) reports 337 new people identified with COVID-19 over the past three days – 323 are residents and 14 are nonresidents. Alaska has had 57,216 cumulative resident cases of COVID-19 and a total of 2,459 nonresidents.

Vaccine information

According to DHSS, 8,078 people in the Juneau region have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine – either Pfizer or Moderna – and 6,495 have completed both doses. Statewide, 168,577 people have received their first dose and 117,861 have completed both doses.
