A brand-new program is splashing down at the pool! Juneau Pools is thrilled to offer adult swim lessons beginning in August. Sign up online through the Parks & Rec registration catalog starting July 30.

Juneau Pools will offer two initial sessions, with lessons offered in different formats to meet the diverse wants and needs of adult learners. Instructors will be available for a wide range of skill levels—so whether you’re new to the water or hoping to expand your repertoire of strokes, this is the perfect opportunity to take the plunge.

Session One will meet from August 6-29 at Dimond Park Aquatic Center. The class will follow a traditional format, meeting each Tuesday and Thursday for 30 minute lessons.  Swimmers will work with instructors to define personalized goals over the course of the class. The cost is $80 + tax and registration opens Tuesday, July 30.

Session Two will meet September 14-15 at Augustus G. Brown Swimming Pool. The class will follow a seminar style, meeting for 90 minutes each day. Swimmers will rotate through skill stations of their choice over the course of each lesson, with options available for swimmers of all levels. The cost is $60 + tax and registration opens Monday, August 26.

Both classes are open to swimmers ages 13 and up.
