“Juneau Futures” Comprehensive Plan Public Workshops in January 2026
Following the success of community-wide workshops held in November, the City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) will host four additional public workshops in January, designed to explore where and how Juneau should focus development resources in the years ahead. In this hands-on, interactive experience, participants step into the role of a City Planner, working in small teams to navigate real-world challenges, weigh trade-offs, and make strategic decisions about Juneau’s future – all with limited resources and an unpredictable mix of opportunities and obstacles.
Registration is required and space is limited; registration is open to anyone. If you’re interested in joining, please complete the registration form to be placed on a waitlist.
Workshop Dates and Locations:
- Thursday, January 8, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Mendenhall Valley Library, 3025 Diamond Park Loop
- Thursday, January 15, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Douglas Library, 1016 Third Street
- Thursday, January 22, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Devil’s Club Brewery – Downstairs, 100 North Franklin
- Friday, January 23, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Generations Southeast, 3239 Hospital Drive
These workshops are part of an ongoing project to update CBJ’s Comprehensive Plan which will guide Juneau’s growth and development over the next 20 years. For more information on the Comprehensive Plan, upcoming events, and ways to stay involved, visit ourfuture.juneau.gov.
