Important note about email address regarding today’s vaccine clinic sign-up at noon

January 11, 2021 – News
UPDATE: All appointments for the Jan. 15-17 COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic have been booked. If you booked an appointment, please note that the clinic is taking place at Centennial Hall at 101 Egan Dr., not Bartlett Regional Hospital. Email reminders incorrectly list the venue/location as “Bartlett Regional Hospital.”

COVID-19 vaccine clinic sign-up for Juneau seniors (age 65 and up) and health care workers begins today at noon on juneau.org/vaccine. Read a step-by-step document that walks through how to make an appointment here. Registering either online or over the phone at 586-6000 will require you to provide an email address, and there are important things to keep in mind:

  • You cannot use the same email address for more than one appointment on one day. For example, if you and your spouse share an email address and want to sign up for two appointments on the same day, do not use the same email address. Use of the same email address for a second appointment on the same day will cancel the first one. In this situation, CBJ recommends reaching out to a family member or friend who is not making an appointment for this clinic and ask to use theirs if possible. If you and your spouse share an email address and want to sign up for two appointments on two separate days, you can use the same email address and both appointments will be valid. The issue is using the same email address for more than one appointment in one day.
  • If you do not have an email address at all, reach out to a family member or friend who is not making an appointment for this clinic and ask to use theirs.

The City and Borough of Juneau is currently working with the sign-up software vendor to bypass the email requirement and the hope is to make it smoother in the future. CBJ understands the email requirement and aspects around it are far from ideal. CBJ and other clinic organizers – Bartlett Regional Hospital and Juneau Public Health Center – appreciate everyone’s patience through this process. If you are not able to get an appointment for January 15-17, do not worry. Additional clinics will be held as more vaccine becomes available. In time, every Juneau resident who wants a COVID-19 vaccine will get one.

The public is encouraged to sign up online if possible; those who are unable to sign up online can call 586-6000 to make an appointment starting at 12 p.m.
