Help with CBJ’s COVID-19 response: Apply for a public outreach temp position

The City and Borough of Juneau is recruiting for multiple temporary workers to assist with public outreach and screening for COVID-19 at the Juneau Airport. These emergency positions have been created specifically to assist CBJ in responding to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pay is $19.72-$22.47 per hour depending on experience. All hires will receive training on job duties and in the use of personal protective equipment. Flexible, part-time, and full-time shifts are available, including daytime and evening hours.

CBJ is looking for people who are dependable, reliable, friendly, and approachable. Ideal candidates have excellent communication and customer service skills, and are able to interact with a wide variety of people/travelers.

Job responsibilities include greeting incoming travelers, checking documentation, assisting travelers through the airport screening process, and providing general information about COVID-19 and traveler requirements.
