For Senior Tax Exemption cards expiring this year, renew by Dec. 16
Many senior citizens with a City and Borough of Juneau Senior Citizen Sales Tax Exemption card may notice their card is set to expire on December 31. Current cardholders whose cards are expiring have been mailed a renewal notice with an enclosed postcard. To renew, simply fill out the postage-paid postcard and drop it in the mail – that’s it. To ensure you receive a new exemption card before December 31, please return the renewal postcard to the Sales Tax office no later than Monday, December 16.
For those unable to renew by mail, there’s also a renew-in-person option. Stop by the CBJ Sales Tax Office at 155 S. Seward Street during office hours; a State of Alaska issued Driver’s License or identification card is required.
For more information, contact the CBJ Sales Tax Office at 586-5265.
