Fish Creek Area Plan now available

The City and Borough of Juneau worked with Southeast Alaska Watershed Coalition, Alaska Department of Fish & Game, and MRV Architects to develop a Fish Creek Estuary Area Plan, which is now available to read here. The plan will guide improvements to recreational opportunities and rehabilitation of the stream, estuary, and surrounding natural habitat.

Feedback from a survey last summer and other public meeting opportunities contributed to the plan. It recommends a light-handed approach to both recreational amenities and habitat restoration. Suggestions include a new vault toilet, a paved parking area, trail improvements, and fish habitat improvements in Fish Creek.
