Deadline to apply for a nonprofit sustainability grant is Sept. 15

September 4, 2020 – News

Juneau nonprofits that’ve been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic can now apply for financial assistance through the Juneau Nonprofit Sustainability Grant Program. The Juneau Assembly last month appropriated $3 million of federal CARES Act funding to assist nonprofits that have lost revenue or have had additional expenses due to the pandemic. The Juneau Community Foundation is administering the program. Applications are available here or by emailing [email protected]. The deadline to apply is September 15 at 5 p.m.

There are five levels of maximum grant awards based on a nonprofit’s annual revenues, ranging from a grant of up to $5,000 for nonprofits with annual revenue of less than $25,000, to as much as $99,000 for nonprofits with annual revenues of more than $1 million.

Any funding already received by a nonprofit through the City & Borough of Juneau Business Stabilization Grant program would be deducted from the maximum award under the nonprofit grant program. Nonprofits that have received other CARES Act assistance, either through federal or state programs, are still eligible for this program.
