COVID-19 Housing Assistance: Applications open Tuesday & information session Wednesday
Individuals and households in Juneau that have been financially harmed by the pandemic can apply for some relief through the COVID-19 Housing Assistance Grant Program starting tomorrow, October 27, at 8 a.m. Find the application at ccsak.org/CBJgrant. The City and Borough of Juneau’s COVID-19 Housing Assistance Grant Program, which is being administered by Catholic Community Service, allows an individual or household to apply for up to $2,000 in housing assistance – up to $1,500 for rent or mortgage, and/or up to $500 for utility bills, including heating and fuel. Only one application per household will be accepted. The application period opens 8 a.m. October 27 through December 12. Funds will be distributed on a first come, first served basis until funding is exhausted, or until December 30, 2020.
To qualify for COVID-19 Housing Assistance, you must:
- Rent or own housing within Juneau (and live in the residence you are applying for)
- Provide a description of your financial hardship due to COVID-19
- Currently have income at or under $94,240 per household
- Provide sufficient proof of qualifying costs during Aug. – Dec. 2020
