Correction to Juneau Vote Center hours in Voter Information pamphlet

Physical copies of the City and Borough of Juneau Voter Information pamphlet for the October 6 Regular Municipal Election have been mailed to Juneau residents. Expect one in your mailbox soon. The pamphlet includes information on this year’s by-mail voting process, a sample ballot, and information on each of the two ballot propositions. Unfortunately, the hours listed for the Juneau Vote Centers on the last page of the pamphlet are incorrect. CBJ apologizes for the error and any confusion it may cause. Below is the correct information:

Juneau Vote Centers

Beginning September 21, CBJ election staff will be available at two Juneau Vote Centers to assist voters with services including:

  • Drop off voted ballots
  • Request a New or Replacement Ballot
  • Request voter assistance
  • Register to vote or update voter registration

The vote centers will be located at City Hall and the Mendenhall Valley Library during these dates & times:

  • City Hall – Assembly Chambers (155 S. Seward St.)
    Weekdays, September 21 – October 5 at 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
    Election Day, October 6 at 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Mendenhall Valley Public Library (3025 Dimond Park Loop)
    Weekdays, September 21 – October 5 at 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
    Saturdays, September 26 & October 3 at 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
    Election Day, October 6 at 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Secure Ballot Drop Boxes

In addition, Secure Ballot Drop Boxes are another alternative way to return your ballot. Two Secure Ballot Drop Boxes will be open starting September 21 through Election Day, October 6, at 8 p.m. at these locations:

  • Douglas Library/Firehall (1016 3rd Street, Douglas)
  • Statter Harbor Boat Launch Parking Lot (11801 Glacier Hwy, Auke Bay)

Ballots for the October 6 election will be mailed on September 15 and are non-forwardable. If you will be away, you may request that a ballot be sent to a temporary address by completing the Application to Vote at a Temporary Address. Applications to vote at a temporary address must be received by the Municipal Clerk’s Office by September 29.
