Construction activity near Brotherhood Bridge Trail starting March 27

March 22, 2018 – FYI, News

A contractor for the City and Borough of Juneau will be making repairs to a sewer line adjacent to the northern end of the Kaxdigoowu Héen Dei, also known as the Brotherhood Bridge Trail, beginning Tuesday, March 27. Trail users are respectfully asked to obey all trail closure/detour signs and barricades, and any instructions from construction workers when transiting the area.

Admiralty Construction will be working Monday through Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for two weeks. The public can expect to see heavy construction equipment and dump trucks on a 300-foot section of trail near the northern trailhead on River Road. The trailhead parking area and trail will remain open to the public during construction, but trail users will need to detour around the construction zone by using the unpaved equestrian trail running parallel to the closed section of trail. Please be aware of construction traffic. CBJ apologizes for any inconvenience.
