CBJ’s Regular Municipal Election is on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Are you registered to vote?

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Juneau Assembly voted to hold the October 6, 2020 Regular Municipal Election by mail. All voters registered at a residence address in the City and Borough of Juneau will be mailed a ballot at the permanent mailing address on file with the State of Alaska Division of Elections Voter Registration List. To check you current registration status and mailing address, go to: https://myvoterinformation.alaska.gov/.

To vote in the October 6 election, you must be registered (or update your registration) by Sunday, September 6, 2020. You can register or update your registration at https://voterregistration.alaska.gov/ or at one of the below locations:

  • State Division of Elections – Region I Office, Mendenhall Mall, 9109 Mendenhall Mall Road, Suite 3
  • City Hall, 155 S. Seward St., Clerk’s Office Room 202 (please call 586-5278 in advance to ensure a registrar is present.)
  • Any Juneau Public Library

Ballots for the October 6 election will be mailed on September 15, 2020 and are non-forwardable. If you will be away, you may request that a ballot be sent to a temporary address by completing the Application to Vote at a Temporary Address. Applications to vote at a temporary address must be received by the Municipal Clerk’s Office by September 29, 2020, though an earlier submission is encouraged.
