CBJ To Collect Household Flood Debris Beginning Monday, August 14

Starting on Monday, August 14, the City and Borough of Juneau will begin collecting household debris from last weekend’s flood event. This is a free service for residents impacted by the flooding.

CBJ is now in the process of reaching out individually to flood-impacted residents with details about how to prepare waste for collection. If your property was affected by flooding and you have not been contacted by CBJ by Sunday evening, please contact [email protected].

This will be the first of several debris collections related to this event. CBJ is working closely with Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation and Waste Management to be able to collect flood debris materials in the upcoming weeks. We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding during this stressful time as we work to dispose of materials safely and securely.
