CBJ Permit Center Launches New Permitting System on January 12
The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) Community Development Permit Center is excited to begin accepting permit applications on Monday, January 12 after a temporary freeze on new applications that started on December 11, 2025. New permit applications will now only be accepted through the Civic Access portal, the Permit Center Hub’s new, streamlined and 100% online permitting system that can be accessed from juneau.org/community-development.
Permit applicants will need to make an account with CBJ Civic Access to begin an application. Once created, applicants will be able to select which permit they would like to apply for, upload any necessary documents and submit their application, and view notifications about their application status on their Civic Access account.
