Calhoun Avenue Reconstruction Phase II Public Meeting at 6 P.M. February 15

The City and Borough of Juneau will hold an informational public meeting today, February 15, to share current plans for Phase II of the reconstruction of Calhoun Avenue from W 7th Street to Main Street. The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. via Zoom.

The public is encouraged to join this meeting to stay up to date on the latest plans and to share any comments and concerns. Call-in information is as follows:

Scope of Work

Phase II work on this project will include D-1 base course, asphalt pavement, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk replacement, concrete sidewalk rehabilitation, ADA ramps, replacement of the water main lines, hydrants and services, new storm drain pipe and catch basin, rehabilitation of existing storm structures, new sanitary sewer manhole, sewer pipe repair, traffic control markings, signs and other miscellaneous work.

During construction, access to and through Calhoun will be limited. The design will include steps to require the contractor to make every effort possible to provide reasonable access to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. This also includes emergency response, trash pickup and mail delivery. We are appreciative of your patience and understanding.
