Avalanche above Behrends Avenue

An avalanche has occurred on Mt. Juneau above Behrends Avenue. No structures or roadways have been affected at this time.

Residents and homeowners in the Behrends subdivision are encouraged to stay alert to their surroundings and to current weather conditions. In the event of an emergency, call 911 immediately.

The general public should avoid spending time in avalanche paths as heavy snow remains on the mountain and there is still potential for secondary slides in current weather conditions. For more information, see CBJ’s 2022 avalanche maps.
