Ask questions at July 27 public forum on district’s plan for the start of school year

The Juneau School Board is holding another public forum on the Juneau School District’s Smart Start School re-entry plan on Monday, July 27 at 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. There will be a presentation by Superintendent Bridget Weiss followed by an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions. Join the Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89461095221 or call 1-346-248-7799, meeting ID 894 6109 5221.

Smart Start 2020 is the district’s plan to reopen the schools that follows a blended learning model and considers different risk levels. The plan follows guidelines from the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development and the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services. The district is also closely watching the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
