As Rain Approaches, Stay Away From the River

The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for the weekend of August 12-13, noting that along the Mendenhall River, rainy and windy conditions could increase the risk of trees falling into and around the river from the already unstable river banks.
The river banks are dangerous and you are strongly advised to stay away from the river at this time.
