January 31, 2020 – News

The City and Borough of Juneau Community Development Department (CDD) is looking for nine volunteers to serve on the Douglas/West Juneau Area Plan steering committee. Committee members can either live, work, recreate, own property, or own a business within the project area, which extends from the cul-de-sac at St. Anns Avenue to the Douglas Bridge. The deadline to apply for the steering committee is February 7.

The Douglas/West Juneau Area Plan will address land use and zoning, transportation and infrastructure, recreational and natural resources, neighborhood commercial growth, historic and cultural preservation, and arts and placemaking opportunities. The primary responsibility of the steering committee is to serve as the voice of the public and the conscience of the plan and, when necessary, to make recommendations on zoning changes, public projects, and other items relevant to the Douglas/West Juneau Area Plan. Apply here.
