Apply for 2025 Human Services Transportation Grant by August 25

August 22, 2025 – News

The CBJ Community Development Department has opened the application period for local projects to apply for the 2025 Alaska Department of Transportation Human Services Transportation Grant (funding begins FY2026). Applications are due Monday, August 25 by 3 p.m.

The purpose of the Human Services Transportation grant is to ensure that elderly persons and persons with disabilities gain access and mobility similar to the general population from the use of transit facilities and services. Local communities set priorities and approve projects to proceed with a state grant application.

As part of the local process, the Juneau Coordinated Transportation Coalition  (JCTC) holds a preliminary competition to ensure projects fit into the 2020 Juneau Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan and coordinate with existing public transportation services and human services transportation options in the community.

A timeline with key dates and the 2025 CBJ Funding Nomination Forms can be found at  juneau.org/community-development/jctc/jctc-about-us under the Meetings tab.

The JCTC will meet on Thursday, August 28 at 3 p.m. to review and prioritize projects. This Zoom meeting is open to the public:
