Application period for a Parks & Recreation commercial use permit is now open

The City and Borough of Juneau Parks & Recreation Department is currently accepting Commercial Use permit applications for the 2021 season. Commercial Use permits authorize commercial activity on CBJ parklands. The rolling application period is open through Wednesday, June 30, to allow operators to examine their season before applying for a permit. Parks & Recreation will process the applications as they come in. There is a non-refundable $250 application fee.

Parks & Recreation is only issuing one-year permits for the 2021 season. The department is currently considering changes to the regulations that govern commercial use of parks and recreation facilities. Any changes or updates to permits as a result of a change to the regulation will not affect permits for the 2021 summer season. Applications can be submitted to CBJ Recreation & Public Services Manager Lauren Verrelli by email [email protected], fax 586-4589, or mailed/in-person to the Parks & Recreation office in City Hall, 155 S. Seward St. Applications may also be picked up at the office, Room 218 in City Hall.
