CBJ COVID-19 Short-Term Rental Assistance Program (April – December 31, 2020)

In response to the COVID-19 crisis and the economic impacts on Juneau households due to the loss of employment and the inability to cover rent, CBJ has created the COVID-19 Short-Term Rental Assistance Program. Application packet and contact information are located in the toggle to the right.

Alaska Housing Finance Corporation’s Housing Relief Program (Program Complete)

AHFC announces that Alaskans who have been financially impacted by COVID-19 and who meet certain eligibility criteria can apply for one month of mortgage or rental relief beginning June 15, 2020. Each eligible household may receive up to $1,200, payable to their lender or landlord. Alaskans can apply by completing a questionnaire and certifying their loss of income was caused by COVID-19. After the application deadline, a lottery will be conducted by Alaska Housing Finance Corporation to select recipients. Program details can be found at

Alaska Legal Services Corporation Legal Information and Landlord/Tenant Helpline

ALSC provides the latest COVID-19 Housing and Utilities Legal Information on their website. The site includes a toll-free number for the landlord/tenant helpline at (855) 743-1001.

HUD Eviction Prevention Guidance for At-Risk Tenants

The CARES Act Eviction Moratorium ended July 24, 2020.  HUD has provided tools for grantees and landlords of HUD-assisted housing and guidance on establishing rent repayment plans. These documents can be found in the toggle box.
