TONIGHT...MOSTLY CLOUDY. SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS IN THE EVENING. LOWS AROUND 35. EAST WIND INCREASING TO 10 TO 20 MPH LATE. NEAR DOWNTOWN JUNEAU AND DOUGLAS...GUSTS TO 30 MPH LATE.

SUNDAY...PARTLY CLOUDY. HIGHS AROUND 43. EAST WIND 10 TO
15 MPH. NEAR DOWNTOWN JUNEAU AND DOUGLAS...NORTHEAST WIND 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH IN THE MORNING.

The current cloud layer has brought temperatures right back to the point of freezing. The Mt Roberts Tram is currently 32f. Yesterdays high was 36f. Eaglecrest had a mid mountain high of 37f yesterday. Currently its 32f at the base. 31f at mid mountain and 30f on top.

Winds have died off to a great deal. The tram is calm blowing under 5mph. Eaglecrest has a little more wind blowing 8-10mph out of the east.

We picked up 1mm of precip in the last few hours at the tram and a cm of new snow.

The last few days winds built shallow slabs on South facing aspects. But there is not much of a concern here.

There is not much snow in the forecast. It should remain cloudy and cool. If we see much sun we may see very small point release wet loose avalanches. But its not likely to see much today.

Glide remains the only real concern today. Recognize this is hard to forecast but areas with glide remain hazardous until they fail. Avoid glide prone areas.

Avalanche danger is LOW at this time. Natural and man made avalanches are not likely. Have a great day.
