Christine Woll grew up in New England and after studying fisheries on the coast of Maine for several years, moved to Alaska in 2009 to get a Masters of Science in Fisheries at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.  In 2012, she moved to Juneau to work for The Nature Conservancy, where she got to study salmon in Bristol Bay and on Prince of Wales Island.  She is now the regional program director for The Nature Conservancy , a job that involves collaborating with Southeast communities to manage lands and waters for social, economic, and conservation benefits.

Christine successfully ran for a District 2 seat on the City and Borough of Juneau Assembly in 2020.  Prior to running for Assembly, Christine served on the Juneau Commission on Sustainability and chaired the Blueprint Downtown steering committee.

Rain or shine, you might find Christine fishing from her rowboat; running mountain ridges with her husband Peter; tending her garden; or playing hockey at Douglas’s Treadwell Arena.  Christine, Peter, and their dog Stikine live on the Mendenhall Peninsula and are grateful for the opportunity to live on Lingít Aaní.
