Paving work on Harris Street begins August 29

Paving work will take place Tuesday, August 29 on Harris Street and 7th Street, between the Harris Street and 4th Street intersection and the 7th Street and Gold Street intersection. This work is part of the City and Borough of Juneau’s 2023 Harris Street Reconstruction Project.

Construction crews will be at work between approximately 8 a.m and 5 p.m. During paving, the roadway will be closed to all vehicular traffic. Access to areas beyond Harris Street including East Street, Kennedy Street, Park Street, and Nelson Street will be detoured through Basin Road during the paving work.
