Weekly COVID-19 updates move to Tuesday; Sept. 1 update will focus on contact tracing

Members of the City and Borough of Juneau’s Emergency Operations Center, along with City Manager Rorie Watt, will present weekly updates on the status of COVID-19 in Juneau every Tuesday at 4 p.m. starting September 1. This week’s update will feature Sarah Hargrave, Southeast Regional Nurse Manager with the State of Alaska’s Public Health Nursing. She’ll explain how contact tracing works and why it’s important to slowing the spread of COVID-19.

A portion of every COVID-19 Community Update is devoted to questions from the community submitted ahead of time. Community members can submit questions by emailing [email protected]. CBJ staff will select a few to be answered during the update. Members of the press will also have an opportunity to ask questions.
