Unvaccinated individuals must wear masks in Juneau; masks strongly encouraged for those vaccinated

In addition to the CBJ Emergency Operations Center’s (EOC) requirement that all unvaccinated individuals must wear masks, it is also strongly encouraged that people who are fully vaccinated wear masks in indoor public settings, such as grocery stores, libraries, restaurants, and bars. These guidelines are in line with CDC’s updated masking recommendations announced today – that fully vaccinated individuals should wear face masks in indoor settings in areas with high transmission of COVID-19.

With Juneau experiencing the largest surge of COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began, please mask up and practice other COVID-19 mitigation measures such as minimizing your social contacts in order to minimize the spread of the virus.
