Shelter construction underway at Fish Creek Recreation Area June 7-9
The Rotary Clubs of Juneau will be erecting a covered pavilion at the Fish Creek Recreation Area in North Douglas from Friday, June 7 through Sunday, June 9. The shelter will be constructed on the raised meadow adjacent to the parking lot, overlooking the pond.
During this time, we ask park users to allow work crews space to construct the shelter and maneuver materials between the parking lot and the building site. Crews may also be performing light brush removal and landscaping in the area.
Please stay aware of your surroundings as you take advantage of the beautiful weather to enjoy the recreation area this weekend.
This project is a cooperative effort between the Rotary Clubs of Juneau and the CBJ Parks & Recreation Department.
