To ensure individuals age 65 and over have access to an appointment at the March 12-13 COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Centennial Hall, the City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is opening sign-up a day earlier for this age group. Individuals age 65 and over can sign up for a vaccine appointment this Wednesday, February 24, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. by calling the CBJ COVID-19 Hotline at 586-6000.

The general sign-up for eligible groups starts Thursday, February 25, at 12 p.m. on juneau.org/vaccine. The eligible public is encouraged to sign up online; those without internet can call 586-6000 to make an appointment starting February 25 at 12 p.m. See eligibility criteria here or take this eligibility quiz. If you are not eligible, please do not make an appointment. Seniors will still be able to register with the broader eligible population during this time.

If you know any family members, neighbors, friends, or acquaintances in Juneau age 65 or older, please tell them about the upcoming COVID-19 vaccine clinic early sign-up on Wednesday, February 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please only call 586-6000 on Wednesday if you are age 65 or older or are registering on behalf of someone else who is 65 or older as of the date of the clinic, March 12 and 13.

An estimated 77 percent of seniors (65+) in Juneau have received at least one dose of vaccine to date according to the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services Vaccine Monitoring Dashboard.
