Registration opens July 16 for Art in the Garden at Jensen-Olson Arboretum

Juneau Parks & Recreation, in partnership with Friends of Jensen-Olson Arboretum, invites local youth to participate in Art in the Garden, a hands-on art experience designed to connect students with the natural world through creative expression.

Art in the Garden – A Creative Afternoon for Youth at Jensen-Olson Arboretum
Date: Saturday, 26, 2025
Time: 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Jensen-Olson Arboretum

This free event is open to children ages 6 to 12. Participants will be divided into two groups based on age and skill level. Older students will focus on painting, while younger students will engage in drawing activities. Please note that placement in either group is not guaranteed and will be determined on the day of the event.

Art in the Garden encourages young artists to explore the beauty of the Arboretum while developing their artistic abilities in a supportive outdoor setting.

Registration is required (bit.ly/44C5Iyu) and will open at noon on Wednesday, July 16. Space is limited to 20 participants, and early registration is recommended.
