Public Health offers free COVID-19 vaccines for kids under 5 starting June 24; Capstone Clinics to Close in Juneau on June 30

The Juneau Public Health Center will offer both the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for children ages 6 months to 5 years at their Friday clinics starting June 24.  The Juneau Public Health Center will continue to offer free COVID-19 vaccines and booster doses to older children and adults as well during these vaccine clinics.  The Friday vaccination clinics are open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 3412 Glacier Highway, across from the Twin Lakes parking lot.  To make an appointment, go to juneau.org/vaccine  If you have vaccine questions, please call the toll free: 1-833-4-VAXLINE (1-833-482-9546).  The helpline hours are 9 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. on weekdays, and 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on weekends. Language interpretation is available.

On June 30, the Capstone Clinics at the Juneau airport and in the Mendenhall Mall will close.

Although Capstone will no longer provide COVID vaccination and testing, those services will continue to be provided by other organizations in Juneau.  COVID-19 vaccines continue to be offered at the Juneau Public Health Center and through other medical providers in town.  Bartlett Regional Hospital will continue to provide drive through PCR testing for COVID-19 and residents can pick up free rapid antigen home test kits at the City Hall cash office, all Juneau Public Libraries, Juneau Public Health Center, and the Juneau Police Department.
